Radiant Orchid Cupcake Circles

<a href="http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/12186311/?claim=ste6tcnfmnv">Follow my blog with Bloglovin</a>

Its no secret I love using www.picmonkey.com to design,
well whatever I want.
Upload a swatch of your colour of choice-
I went with Pantone's colour (or color for Americans) of 2014
Radiant Orchid
And use the colour picker to match that swatch.

Or print off these ones-
I promise to make more to choose from soon.

Once you print them off,
tape the tip of a toothpick to the back of each circle
You can hide the tip of the toothpick either
by cutting out circles from cardstock or
printing out an extra copy of the cupcake circles
and glue them to the back.
Now you can stick those suckers into your cupcakes.

Dresser Drawer Makeover

This dresser/change table was handmade and
has been in my family for some time so I wanted to keep it,
but it was in rough shape

First I cleaned it and then pulled out the old contact paper-
there was a reason that contact paper was on there!

I scanned and printed some book pages and
used Peter Rabbit postcards

Once I arranged them the way I wanted
I measured out how much contact paper I would need.
Use clear contact paper to hold the pages and postcards in place.

Follow the directions on the contact paper, but ye be warned
it is frustrating getting all the air pockets out.
Whatever the design, use glossy paper
because it may take a few tries getting the contact paper how you want it and if you use regular paper it may rip.

PS. contact paper does not photograph well
but looks great in real life

Cowardly Lion Memory Frame Necklace

Celebrate The Wizard of Oz movie's 75th anniversary
with this necklace
Or make your own, whatever, I'm not the boss of you.

For the front of the necklace I cut this out
from scrapbook paper
You could also find a picture online or scan a picture from a book

I cut out the word courage from the dictionary
I originally cut out the entire definition but it wouldn't fit.
I should have scanned it from the page and edited it to fit.

I put it in a memory frames pendant in between two glass slides (sold separately)
more info here

Because it is between glass both the front
and back are visible
depending which way you want to wear it

Ta-Daa!

you can also do it with Mod Podge on a blank dog-tag like I have below
but that is a tutorial for another day

30 Sucks

I made this for a much older than me (wink) friend's 30th birthday

You will need
              • floral foam
              • cardstock
              • suckers
              • decorative tape
              • letter/number stickers (I used my Cricut machine instead)

Wrap the cardstock around the foam like it was a present
but leave a strip of space unwrapped.

Tape up the ends with decorative tape.

The tape is doing double duty here;
it has to hold the cardstock on the foam and look good doing it.

Stick all thirty suckers into the exposed areas of the foam.

Use stickers or cut out "30 sucks"

No stickers or Cricut? Make it on the computer or
use one of mine below.
