Baby Shower Thank You Cards

This is something I made while I was still pregnant (and before I started blogging so unfortunately I don't have any other pictures of them). But I'll explain how I did it.

1. Fold card stock in half

2. Use a onesie cookie cutter as a stencil. Make sure part of it is over the folded part of the card stock or else you won't have a card.

3. Stamp "thank you" on the front using a rubber stamp and white ink.

4.Tie a teeny-tiny bow out of thin ribbon and glue wherever you think looks best on the onesie.

And........................You're done!

Tree Growth Chart

This is the paper I used

Roll it out on the floor or a smooth work surface

Draw a tree trunk and branches 

Use a measuring tape and mark off each foot. 

Make smaller lines to mark off inches in between each foot.

Draw lines on the tree to make it look more like bark.

(You could add the child's name by making it look

 like it's carved into the tree)

Cut out the tree but leave brown space

 in between the branches to attach the leaves to.

 Cut out various different size 

and colours of leaves, or hearts, or flowers

Tape tree to the wall and use double sided tape

 to attach hearts or leaves to the tree

When you're finished use cut out numbers 

or stickers for each foot

This should only take a couple hours unless you have a baby 

or toddler and then it will probably take a lot longer.

Use a plain onesie that is a size too big 

Remove the sleeves

Remove the stitching from around the neck

Use lacey or frilly trim. You can sew it on but to 

save time you can use fabric glue.

Keep glue away from babies; do not let them wear the romper until glue has dried and romper has been washed.

Cut the trim and start gluing from 

the bottom and work your way up 

When you are finished the back let glue dry for 30 minutes before flipping over and doing the front

Glue trim all the way up to the arm holes

Use trim as straps and 

cut away excess fabric from back of onesie 

Let dry 24 hours before washing and allowing baby to wear.

Using glue will limit onesie's ability to stretch so it is important to use a onesie that is a size too big for the baby.
